Our house is actually, finally, really for sale.
We signed the sale and disclosure papers on Saturday, March 11, 2017.
A photographer came to shoot video & pictures on Sunday, March 12, 2017.
Our house is listed today, Monday, March 13, 2017.
It’s the beginning of the end.
We’ve been working with a realtor for about a month now (and she’s been with us off and on since we started our search in Cincinnati … so really, she’s been occasionally-involved for 2+ years. Yikes.). She actually had a client interested last week and we have already had 1 showing, pre-listing. But, now it’s public. Anyone (with their real estate agent) can come and traipse through our house, look at all our stuff, and judge all the work we’ve completed.
We already have 2 showings booked – both scheduled Monday morning, to see the house on Monday afternoon.
We’re hoping it’s a quick, swift ending. Carrying 2 houses is a lot of work.
But, on the other hand, another month of overlap would serve us well – remember all that painting we still have to do at the new house?
Anyway, I’ve updated the Dayton Home Tour page, so you can view the finished photos of our first houses there. (We’re hoping we don’t have much work to do to close the sale [fingers crossed] … but we’ll keep you posted.)
And, you can see the real estate listing here.
(It’s weird to have our house and stuff on display, online, publicly.)
If you know anyone looking for a house in the Dayton area … we live in a great, walkable community, with top ranking schools, lots of parks and trails, a nationally-ranked grocery market (seriously), cute downtown with a great steakhouse, quaint farmer’s market, and convenient to literally everything in the Dayton area.
We’re excited to explore our new area … but, damn, Oakwood is a fantastic place to live.
